Hi, A couple of quick questions... I have heard about , but not seen a decbridge/decagent combination module.DH-DENMA-MA (DECbridge 90) or DH-DENMA-FL (DECbridge90 FL). Is this one module? (ie one slot, the agent firmware was just incorporated onto the bridge module?) Are there any limitations, ie do the same rules that apply for DECagent 90 modules apply to this combination module? Lastly will the DEChub 900 agent that is built into the 900 hub ever be able to manage "all" DEChub 90 modules without an DECagent 90? Any info. would help. Mike Beaulieu

Slow down... :-) The V2.0 DENMA firmware (which is, at this writing, fast approaching field test) has the ability to manage all modules _in_its_own_hub_ without a DECbridge. It is not able to manage a remote hub without a bridge in the remote hub (actually, it can manage remote terminal servers, but not repeaters - same as V1.1). It is also not itself a bridge. There is no 'combination' module in development. See note 519 for management of 90 modules in a 900 hub. Follow up here with any questions. |
