Note 1135.0 WINSOCK support in Netware? No replies
ODIXIE::RICHARDSON "Are we there yet??" 18 lines 13-JAN-1994 15:17
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone know if Netware V3.11 support winsock? I don't know a lot
about this so don't even know if this is a valid question, but what I
want to do is the following:
Be able to run an application (HUBwatch for windows) simultaneously
(without having to reboot as is currently required) with the Netware
NOS.
Supposedly, the next version of Hubwatch for Windows will support
winsock as well as PATHworks V5.0 will support winsock so they will be
able to "cohabitate" on the same PC. My customer, however, is not
running PATHWORKS but rather NetWare.
This particular customer is also running LAN Workplace for DOS (TCP/IP)
to talk to an OSF server, but that doesn't buy us anything I don't
think, since the NOS is talking IPX/SPX.
Thanks
