Can we use HUBwatch for Windows in order to manage a LAN built on top of DEChub 90, comprised of several PC's (Running both Pathworks/TCP AND Novell Netware) and a RISC server (Alpha AXP + OSF/1)? In other words, can we use HUBwatch for Windows to manage the DEChub's AND the TCP/IP elements via SNMP? There will be 3 of those LAN's interconnected via TCP/IP over X.25. Can we use just 1 HUBwatch for Windows to manage all of them? Regards Maurcio

Assuming all the nodes support IP and ICMP's PING, you can at least put them on the HUBwatch map and show reachability status. And if the PC's are running SNMP, you can get more info. That's with Version 1.0 or 1.1 of HUBwatch for Windows. Version 2.0 won't have a map or generic IP management; you should get that back with version 3, which will optionally run with HP OpenView for Windows. |
