Wrong MAC-address after uppgrading! On a customer site I have uppgraded a DECbridge 90 and a DECagent in a hub. Ihave uppgraded the bridge with WGB_FLASH_V31.SYS and the agent to V1.1. The uppgrade seems to be ok but when I look at the hub from the agent then the agent reports wrong MAC-address. Instead of reporting 08-00-2B-31-D8-A5 you got following: 10-80-02-B3-1D-8A It is no problem with Ethernet-prom because it's no problem to connect the bridge from NCP. If I sets the MAC-address from the agent on the bridge, it's looks ok until you resets the agent then you got the wrong adress again. Is there anybody who know why ??? Jan-Erik

406.1 | Agent may need a reset-to-factory | ROGER::GAUDET | Because the Earth is 2/3 water | Fri Oct 01 1993 14:05 | 7 |
It is recommended that you perform a reset-to-factory settings on the agent when you upgrade to V1.1. There are situations where the non-volatile database in the agent can get corrupted after V1.1 starts up. The reset-to-factory should clear up the problem. Then you should be able to add the bridge and see the correct MAC address. ...Roger... |
