If the fiber cards comply with 10BaseFL or FORIL then should work
just fine. If you only have an AUI port then you can use the DEFLM-AA
directly on the AUI port and then take the fiber to the fiber repeater.

Chipcom uses 10BaseF which is a synchornous fiber signalling. When
you go into or out of their fiber star, you do not count those as
repeaters. Chipcom was to have created some product to comply with
the more popular FORIL and 10BaseFL as they cannot interoperate
with most other vendors.

packet. See NAC::MANAGEMENT:RMON*
