Is there a date yet for DECagent 1.2? I need the functionality of using the Agent to manage repeaters in the same hub without a bridge. This happening soon will help a large sale. Thanx in advance, Nadeem

275.1 | busmaster= winter | NAC::SEAVER | Bill Seaver, HUBwatch Mktg | Mon Jul 05 1993 18:50 | 10 |
the bus master versionof the DECagent 90 is planned for sometime this winter. It will be a firmware upgrade of the exisiting agent. To check status see NAC::MANAGMENT:STATUS.TXT Please let me know how big a sale is hinging on this functionality. I do not htink I can speed thsi up, but data such as that might help. NB- We are planningon comingout with a DETMI sometime this winter. It will be an 8 port DEChub 90 size 10baseT repeater which will have its own integral SNMP agent and thus will not need the DECagent 90.
275.2 | 1.2 DECagent also required | STROP::LAYLAND | Fri Oct 08 1993 08:21 | 12
I also require a firm date for the DECagent 1.2. But the DETMI and the 90M would would be useful. The configuration that is required covers 4 locations, each with 3 hubs. All of these locations will be connected using BRouters (8 ofthem). They also require management of the hubs, which, currently, requires a DECbridge 90. This could mean an extended lan of 14 bridges. With management of the hub90 modules, (DETMR and DSRVG) being in the DECagent, the DECbridge would not be required. Two of the locations do not have load hosts, which suits the Brouter and not WAN90.
