I have a question regarding upgrading DECagents/bridges with new versions of 
firmware, in sites that have NO DEC gear except for HUBwatch for PC (Windows)
and DECHUBs?

Currently I'm working with a CSO (and Customer) on solution for wiring up their
(the end customer's) new building with DECHUBS. The Customer likes the DEChub 
approach,the units and the management via the PC (it meets their needs).

The customer has over 100 PCs in a Novell network, they have NO DEC gear. They
are looking at DECHUBs or Synoptics, and we are providing a better (and cheaper) 
solution todate.

The only outstanding issue is on the flash ROMs of DECagents and DECbridges, if 
any upgrades come out how do they upgrade the flash ROMs?

Will there be support for bootp/tftp on the agents or bridges?  Since they could
(temporarily) make the PC a load host with PCTCP.

    It sounds like you need the DOS version of DECndu.  The version
    that is currently shipping (V2.0) will load DECbridges and DECconcentrators.
    
    The next version will support upgrades of the DEChub and Gigaswitch
    modules.   This version should be ready very soon.

    The basic requirements are:
    
    386 or higher class PC.
    1.44 3.5 inch floppy drive.
    ethernet network card with ndis driver.
    MS-DOS V5.0 
    
    The current dos version has a users guide.  Talk to Cynthia Day 
    tnpubs::cday for access to it.
