182.0. "Suggestions" by CSC32::R_ROMMES () Thu Mar 11 1993 18:50
After just installing HUBWATCH for MSU (MMAHWMSU11D) I would like to
suggest that you allow hubatch some minimal connectivity to snmp agents in the
hub prior to having that agent configured.
For example...
I have a hub with a db90, agent, some 90l+'s and some 90tl's.
When I add a module for the 90tl, I can not even update the screen to allow the
hub to see it unless I give it an IP address. It would be nice to be able to
add the module, then use hubwatch to allow me to connect to it and configure
the ip address and internet specifics. Instead, I must configure each 90tl
manually prior to adding them to the hub.... This allows a user to use the
windows interface as much as possible, I assume that that is the goal here...
Thanks, Rich.
