Hi, Can anyone tell me the correlation between the Agents table and the DH90_agents file. When I start Hubwatch it tells me that my agent is not found in the table. If I add it to the agent table, it always dissappears then I call up manage tables for a second time. Do I have to create the DH90_agents file by hand? If so, what should it look like? Is hubwatch suppose to remember the agents that I add to the table? Should it automatically create a DH90_agents file? After adding agents to the table, leaving hubwatch and then restarting it, I still get no agent found in table. And ideas? I have Agent V1.0 and the field test hubwatch Julie Ann

What version of f.t. HUBwatch are you running? It sounds pretty old. Also, you should be running x1.1 DECagent 90 code (the latest version was x1.74). As of the next HUBwatch IFT, the agents file is: OpenVMS: HUBWATCH$LIBRARY:HUBWATCH_AGENTS.DAT ULTRIX: $HUBWATCH_LIBRARY/hubwatch_agents [This is a change for ULTRIX; previously, the agents file was called DH90_agents and was located at NMS_DIR/uid/DH90_agents.] You must have the logical HUBWATCH$LIBRARY or the environment variable HUBWATCH_LIBRARY defined as the directory that will be used for the agents file. If it doesn't exist, HUBwatch will create it. You can add entries either thru the Manage Table pull-down, or thru a text editor. |
