	This is a short note describing a filtering "problem" that
	I ran into.  It is mainly my fault, but I could see customers
	running into the same problem....

	I was at a customer site and turned on Novell filtering using
	hub watch.  The customer wanted it proven that the filtering
	actually worked.  Sure enough, the novell client did not
	work.  I then turned the filters to green and the client worked
	fine, but I lost my SNMP management to the hub.

	What happens with the bridges, if you supply a forward
	filter (green), then only that protocol is forwarded and
	others are discarded.  If you management station is on the
	bridge side, you loose you SNMP management.

	You should simply delete the protocol from the protocol list.

	There should be some sort of warning about this and ask the
	user if they also want the SNMP protocol also added to the list
	of forwarding protocols....

    Is there a protocol list available for the DECbridge 90. I have only
    been able to find a list of seven in the owners handbook but my
    customer wants the full list.

Try:

FILES::NET$ARCH:[REGISTRY]ETHERNET-REGISTRY-PUBLIC.PS

Use only the public version, don't give the internal version to your customer.
