128.0. "HUBWATCH and Pathwork for TCP ?" by CHILKA::JAGGI () Fri Jan 15 1993 14:56

    I have copied the hubwatch soft under N:\HUB, N: being a pathwork
    device.
    NETDEV.SYS has been copied under C:/HUB.
    So when I booting, I am starting Pathwork for TCP/IP and I am mounting
    my device N. So far everything OK.
    Then I am executing C:/HUB/DEPCA ... and values displayed seems
    meaningfull and OK.
    Now when going to N:\HUB, system is hanging ....

    Do we support Hubwatch and Pathwork together ?

128.1Cannot run HUBwatch and Pathworks together!EMDS::SEAVERLENAC Net Mgnt Mktg 223-4573Sun Jan 17 1993 21:103
    no- HUBwatch requires a clarkson driver which is incompatible with a
    pathwork driver. Look at EMDS::MANAGEMENT:WINDOWS_SETUP.TXT for
    directions.

    RE: .1

    This doesn't make us look very good to the outside world. Are there
    plans to make HUBwatch and PATHWORKS coexist? Maybe use an NDIS driver
    in HUBwatch?

128.3Solution by Fall 93- WINsocketsEMDS::SEAVERLENAC Net Mgnt Mktg 223-4573Tue Jan 19 1993 10:186
    We plan to use WINsockets in V2.0 of HUBwatch which will come out in
    the fall. For V1.1 we are committed to the Clarkson drivers which are
    not NDIS compatible. I do not like this either, but my choice is to
    not offer HUBwatch for Windows until this fall and I find that
    unacceptable. We are actively looking for workarounds that allow both
    drivers to co-exist and will take any help or hints you may have.
