I have a request from a big customer (ITU) which is returning a form
he found with the DECbridge 90 Reply Card EK-DECBR-RC. This form is
saying :

	Digital will be upgrading the Network Management Product for
	the DECbridge 90 in Septembre 1991 timeframe. You now have
	Version 1.4 of the DECbridge firmware. If you are interested
	in learning more about this upgrade, please fill out the
	information below and return this notice to Digital.

What is the meaning of this message ? What kind of informations should
we sent to customer according to this request ?

26.1Detail on DECbridge 90 firmware upgradeEMDS::SEAVERLENAC Net Mgnt Mktg 223-4573Sat Feb 22 1992 17:544
    The firmware in the DECbridge 90 is being upgraded to handle management
    of the repeaters in the DEChub 90. This upgrade is in field test now
    and should be out this spring. It will be a no cost upgrade. For
    more information, contact Alice (MEMIT::HASSEY).
26.2RBMS protocol support is the nature of the upgradeMEMIT::FORRESTTue Feb 25 1992 12:0217
The DECbridge 90 already supports management of the DECrepeater 90C and
90T via MOP. The upgrade is to allow the bridge (and repeaters in the same
hub) to be managed using the RBMS protocol.

This does not mean that the bridge will be manageable using the old VAX
RBMS application. DEC ELMS is not being upgraded to support the DECbridge 90
either. RBMS protocol support in the DECbridge 90 will allow the DECmcc
Bridge applications to manage it.

This upgrade will also be necessary for SNMP support, as the DECagent 90
translates SNMP to RBMS, rather than to MOP for the bridge.

So have your customer send in the card. The current strategy is to send
out the upgrade to all existing DECbridge customers, but having the card
will ensure that we have the right address to which we send the upgrade.

    Does this upgrade also correct the byte reversal problem with the
    setting of filters for 802.3 protocols?
