I am running the v5.0 client of exchange on an alpha and am having
trouble getting the internet mail service working...It gets an error
modifying the cpl file that does the mail changes on the control panel
I do a search for the cpl file and find two of them one in system32
and one in sys32x86... I also have office 97 running with no outlook
support...any ideas..it fails with the v4 client as well

Could someone please tell me if they have an alpha exchange client
working with the internet mail service turned on

Did you try removing the cpl from sys32x86 ?

...Did it...but fails saying it has a problem with with the control
panel file d:\winnt\system32\mlcfg32.cpl

This is the error I get
An error occured while Windows was working with the Control Panel File
This error happens whether I use the sys32x86 version or the system32
one
