I wanted to share a weird problem I experienced with MS/Echange client on my
Win95 system.
When I started Exchange client on my workstation, the main exchange window
opened showing me my INBOX. foldres and unread mail. If I was quick enough I
could even open one of the unread items. But, within about 5-seconds, the
window locked up. My workstation was still functional (I could run other
applications), but Echange was locked and the process was making about 80 page
faults per second.
I'm not sure what actually caused this problem. The last thing I remember
loading was IE-3.02beta.
I managed to fix the problem by unloading (i.e. uninstall) most of the
products I had on the workstation including Exchange and reloading the
products. Unloading JUST Exchange did not fix the problem.
I think there might have been a problem with a DLL, but this is only a guess.
Hope this helps someone else from spending the hours I spent trying to fix
this problem

1054.1 | Any other Services on the profile? | FLASK2::SYSTEM | Nigel Bridport @REO | Mon May 12 1997 08:54 | 10 |

Did the profile you were starting with have any associated personal
folders/other services ?
If I start in a profile that has network PST's and those PST's are
not available for some reason, I will have similar behaviour but it
normally eventually sort's itself out by giving you the option
to locate the PST manually.
Nigel.
