My apologies if this is covered elsewhere in this conference. I searched but didn't find it. I'm a contract IS Specialist. One of my users is using the Exchange Internet mail service to retrieve her VMS Mail. She claims that she can sporadically reply and send. I cannot seem to make it work. Does anyone have this working? Is it even supposed to work? thanks, Jay

I can't offer any solutions to the problem, but here's an explanation of what they have set up. If you have a POP server running on VMS (UCX V4.1 provides one), then you can configure Internet mail in the Exchange client to fetch the mail from the VMS system. (I use this method, rather than forward my mail to Exchange.) UCX also provided a SMTP server which will allow for internet mail to be sent. Rich |
