1051.0. "Problem with Spell Checker" by EVER::CHANDA () Thu May 01 1997 22:47

    Hi,

    I'd checked the "Always Check Spelling before sending" option in my
    Exchange Client. All of a sudden I've started getting some problems
    with the spell checker. Now everytime I'm sending out a message, a
    little window pops-up and says :-

    "The spelling operation could not be completed. The spelling checker
    could not be started. Some components are either missing or incorrectly
    configured in your WIN.INI file. See your administrator."

    On clicking OK in the window, it displays another one and says :-

    "The spell check on the document was halted. Do you want to send anyway
    ? YES / NO "

    The message is being sent to its recipient if I click on YES there.
    That's not a problem. The problem is the Spell checker is not been
    activated.

    Any help is aprreciated.

    - Debasis Chanda.

Did you check 506.1?

Or any other note in this conference with "spell" in the title?

1051.2Is re-install the only way to fix the problem ?EVER::CHANDAFri May 02 1997 16:306
    	Thanks for the pointer.

    I checked up all the related notes and the message I got as a solution
    is to re-install exchange client.

    Is there any other way to fix the problem, rather than re-install ?
1051.3Re-install is the cure for Spell Checker problemsEVER::CHANDAFri May 02 1997 16:435
    I've re-installed exchange client and the problem is gone.

    Thanks for the help.
