Hi, I have a question about the Exchange transaction logs. Because of performance I place them on their own disk, but I don't know if the disk should be mirrored. What happens in the case of the loss of the transaction log disk if it is not mirrored, or what is the effect on performance if it is mirrored. Regards, Ren [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

The transaction log is where changes to the database are stored until they are flushed into the database. If you lose the transaction log, you lose all the changes since the last time the transaction log was flushed (actually, I think Microsoft calls it 'purged'). In any case, they are very important. |
