One of our user has the following problem ; Laptop with w95+exchange, synchronizes all his folders every morning using an .Ost file. This morning he called us that all folder synch. ok except the inbox, in the sync. log file the following was written ; 8:44:19 Synchronizing Mailbox 'Mahmud Husein' 8:44:19 Synchronizing Hierarchy 8:44:19 Synchronizing Favorites 8:44:19 Synchronizing Folder 'Inbox' 8:44:23 Error synchronizing folder 8:44:23 [80070057-501-0-550] 8:44:23 The client operation failed. 8:44:23 Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store 8:44:23 Synchronizing Folder 'Outbox' 8:44:24 Synchronizing Folder 'Sent Items' 8:44:26 3 item(s) added to offline folder 8:44:26 Synchronizing Folder 'Mailbox - Mahmud Husein' 8:44:26 Synchronizing Folder 'created' 8:44:27 Synchronizing Views 8:44:27 Synchronizing Organization Forms 8:44:27 Done Does anyone know what this errorcode means ?? There is enough diskspace left on his disk. Ton.

Cannot find this information, but have a suggestion... Has the offline store been scanned with SCANPST "Inbox repair tool?". (Backup the original first. Read scanpst help second. Then try it. If repairs are made, check that the repairs did not actually delete information... has happened before with MMF repairs in MSMail 3.2) ScanPST works with both OST and PST, and I'm wondering if the folder on the local side has corruption preventing full sync. Don't think that will help, user already deleted his .ost file and setup offline storage again with a new .ost file.....same error... Ton. |
