Does anyone know how to choose the default address book used by the Word97 "Envelopes and Letters" dialog? Right now, if I push the button that extracts address book info, it spends forever loading the global address book. I really want it to default to my Outlook Contacts first. Jim Reuter

Haven't used Outlook much, but is the Contacts list searched first there? I'd expect that Word would use the same order as specified in the Address book window. | |||||

Well, I reinstalled the Exchange server settings (as part of migrating my Exchange info to an official production server), and now Word picks my empty Personal Address Book as the default choice. This is certainly better than the global address list, but still not as good as my Outlook Contacts where I actually keep everything... For the record, my address book search order for sending is Contacts Personal Address Book Global Address List and my "show this address list first" choice is Contacts and my "keep personal addresses in" choice is Personal Address Book (only because it does not allow me to choose Contacts for this choice, I have no idea why).
