966.0. "Synchronization problem" by SLOAN::HOM () Mon Mar 31 1997 17:56

I can log into the Exchanage account and send/receive mail.
However, when I try to SYNCRHONIZE my folders on my
laptop account, I get the following error:

"Synch with the offline folder file could not be completed.
The attemp to log on to the MS Server computer has failed."

Any thoughts?

I've seen this type of error when the user (using Windows95) doesn't
create a local "logon" context (logon credentials) ie. Windows logon
after a domain logon...the user "cancels" the Windows logon dialog box.

The solution I've used it to delete the *.pwl files in the /windows
directory...logoff, logon the domain, and then supply the same domain
password for the windows logon dialog box.

The solutions in .1 fixed it... This problem stymied a lot of folks.
Kudos to John.

Different error here. I _always_ get this error, even locally attached
to the network. All my folders get sync'd ok, then...

Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server
    computer is down for maintenance.

Is there something different about "Organization Forms" that could be
    causing this?
