Hello,
We try to establish X400 links between Exchange
4.0SP3 and Mailbus 400 2.0 (Mode 88 and RFC1006). We
SUCCEDED with Mailbus 400 2.0 on Digital Unix machine.
With Mailbus 400 2.0 on Open VMS (Alpha) connection
works fine from Exchange to MAilbus 400. From MAilbus 400
to Exchange we always get these error messages:
On Mailbus:
Event: Outbound Hard Rejection from: Node LOCAL:.PADKOA MTA Peer MTA
[Type = Manually Configured ,Name = "EXCHANGE"] Activity ,
at: 1997-03-12-17:17:58.903+01:00I0.473
Reason Code=Validation Error
This means the peer mta cannot validate the calling
MTA with information in the SPDU connect. We had checked
several times the TSAP,SSAP,PSAP,NSAP.
On Exchange:
We had translated error message from french.
Event 317 source Exchange MTA
P1 association established from MTA PADKOA on (Monologue)
with address /P:MTA/S:MTA/T:MTA88-PADKOA/N:"MTA_DIRECTORY_NAME"
association type temporary
years of service/unknown
Event 51 source Exchange MTA
unknown MTA has try a link
Event 1293
remote association from \unknown refused
We have used an IRIS trace and we have carefuly analysed
the SPDU connect. In the user data the mode selector is 01,
which means normal-mode.
Simon and Pierre.

| The MTA event means that there is a name and/or password mismatch. Compare the
peer mta Local name and Password attributes with the name and password that
Exchange is expecting from the MTA.
