928.0. "All-In-1 to Exchange Migration." by QCAV02::CHENTHIL () Wed Mar 12 1997 11:11

    One of our customer is having All-In-1 mail on VAX/VMS platform. He is
    planning to migrate on Exchange solution on Alpha or Intel platform.
    He wants to know what all components will get migrated from All-In-1 to
    Exchange and what all components won't get migrated. How exactly is
    this migration done. What are the softwares and hardwares required?

    Any inputs are welcome. Any pointers or web locations would be helpful
    as I am looking for a very detailed information.

    Thanks and regards,
    CHENTHIL

If you want a slick end-user solution then have a look at the Digital Mail
Migration Startup for Microsoft Exchange service. See note 472 in this

    There is also the ALL-IN-1 MAPI driver which allows you to connect
    to ALL-IN-1 using the Microsoft Exchange client. From there you can
    drag and drop messages between your Exchange and ALL-IN-1 File
    Cabinets.

    They also need to look at mail interoperability. Are they planning on
    using x.400 or SMTP for mail?

    What directory service are they using, what do they plan to use?
