| I have the same problem as the base note.... Mine is "blank" and can
only be seen if you double-click. I too went from MROEXC to ALFEXC.
I just assumed they figured I didn't need to know in the read screen.
If there's a way to fix it, I'd sure like to know too.
Thanks...

| Not readable as in blank...
Strange part is, from my notebook (running `95) They appear
just fine... From my workstation (running Alpha NT 4.0 SP1) the
field appears blank...
The version of Exchange on my 4.0 NT system is: 4.0.993.0
Unfortunatly my notebook is not here so I don't know exactly what
version of Exchange it's running...
Our site support folks thought it was related to the headers
not being formatted properly, but the fact that my notebook can see
the headers leads me to believe it's related to the particular
version/installation of Exchange... It's just sort of funny that it
all happened when I moved from a "standalone" node to being part of
the Storage Domain, and about the same time, I was moved from MROEXC2
to SHREXC1....
Thanks for any ideas,
Joe

886.4 | Same version on my notebook... | SUBSYS::alcor.shr.dec.com::smith | Apps Engineer | Fri Mar 07 1997 16:02 | 8 |
| OK, I've got my notebook with me and it is running Exchange
V4.0.993.0 also... I guess it would seem to be specific to my
installation, but what should I look for???
Thanks,
Joe

886.5 | Differences between NT and 95 | FLASK2::SYSTEM | Nigel Bridport @REO | Mon Mar 10 1997 07:51 | 9 |

Probably due to differences between the NT and 95 versions. I have
previously seen problems with the header information on the NT client
where the FROM window is not high enough. I think this problem may
have been introduced in one of the SPs.
Can you try to install the client that comes with V4.0 ?
Nige.

886.6 | I'll try it... | SUBSYS::alcor.shr.dec.com::smith | Apps Engineer | Mon Mar 10 1997 16:32 | 5 |
| I'll check with my tech. suppt. folks to see if they're
willing to let me do that... Which version of exchange is newer?
Thanks again,
Joe

| FWIW, I have the exact same problem using the Exchange 5.0 client on
NT 4.0 Alpha. I don't have the problem when using Outlook (on NT
Intel) to view the same message... Haven't tried the Exchange client
on Intel.
Not a big deal, but if anybody has a solution, I'm interested.
Thanks
Vincent

| Still the same old problem here. Nobody in my support org.
has shown any interest in resolving this...
Oh well, maybe if enough of us see this...
Thanks,
Joe
