880.0. "Exchange to Web integration" by BBRDGE::LOVELL ( l'eau; c'est l'heure) Fri Feb 14 1997 17:40
Has anyone performed any integration work between our own Exchange
infrastructure and an Intranet Web server?
The sort of things that I need to do in an MCS project are the
following;
- Read a GAL entry, for each member therein, lookup their properties
like telephone number and location code and publish via a Web server
- Access a public folder, for each document (Word) that exists, run it
through the Internet Assistant and publish on a Web server.
etc....
I've expressed the need as if it would be accomplished using Exchange
as an info store and then a conversion process to a Web server. If it
can be accomplished directly from Web Server-Exchange integration that
would be preferable.

You might want to look at Exchange 5.0. It works with IIS 3.0
Public Folders are available via the web and as Newsgroups.
