855.0. "Schedule+ / Exchange Personal Address Book" by ODIXIE::SIMPSONT (PC = world's biggest con job!) Fri Jan 31 1997 16:11

    Is there any way to utilize or export/import the Schedule+ address book
    in Exchange? They seem very similar... If not, where can I get
    information about the file/record structure of the address books so
    that I can write a utility to do this? I can't believe that MS did not
    consider this... Keeping multiple address books seems really stupid
    and is a pain!

	There are utilities to do this, but really, like Nigel said
	in .1, move to outlook and dump your Personal Address Book.
	Everything I have is in the Outlook Contacts folder and it's
	MUCH easier to deal with. There is better printing support
	also. I frequently print out a phone number list and toss
	it in my truck for those times that I space and don't have
	a number (or my old Apple Newton or my Nokia alpha-numeric
	cell phone) handy.

    Thanks. I'll give it a try...if I can find enough space on my laptop.
    How much disk space is required for the OutLook application?

855.4Synchronize Outlook OHFSS1::STREKMon Feb 03 1997 15:338
    Has anyone figured how to synchronize the Outlook Schedule on a desktop
    (not using Exchange Server) with a laptop? This is one of the
    strengths of Schedule+, IMHO. It would be nice if Outlook could use
    the WGPO for synchronization as Schedule+ does. Correct me if I am
    wrong, but the only way to synchronize Outlook on multiple systems is
    to use an Exchange server.

RE: .4

	If you leave Exchange and Schedule+ on your system, you can
	tell Outlook to use Schedule+ for calendaring. Here's the
	blurb from Help.

Use Schedule+ 95 as my primary calendar

You must previously have installed Schedule+ 95 to use Schedule+ 95 as
your primary calendar. Before selecting this option, see your
administrator, as the optimal configuration is for everyone to use either
Schedule+ 95 or Outlook.

1	On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Calendar tab.
2	Select the Use Microsoft Schedule+ 95 as my primary calendar check
box.

Note When you use the Schedule+ 95 calendar as your primary calendar
instead of the Outlook Calendar, you cannot open another user's Outlook
Calendar from Schedule+ 95.
