838.0. "Trying to Understand Print Attachments" by ARRCEE::CORBISHLEY (David Corbishley 609-799-8641) Fri Jan 24 1997 18:47

    A user asked me for help with print attachments. From HELP it seems
    that chekcing that box should cause embedded objects (Word documents,
    Excel spreadsheets) to print out. In reality it just appears to print
    any attached mail messages.

    If have Word and Excel, so what is the correct behavior?

838.1Word and Excel attachments do print16.124.40.100::LYONSTue Jan 28 1997 12:2411
With the "print attachments" box checked, Word and Excel files should print just
as attached messages do.

Take note of a couple of things:
1. the "print attachment" setting applies to any following prints until it is
changed to the alternate setting.
2. Only attachments to the item being printed will print. That is, if one is
printing a message which has an attached message and the attached message has
attachments, only the attached message will print. If you print the attached
message, then its attachments will print.

838.2Word Attachments don't always print correctlyHYDRA::KLIGERMon Feb 10 1997 14:589
    We seem to be experiencing some Word documents that get sent as
    attachments, which are not getting printed even though the 'Print
    Attachments' box has been checked. When printing, it will activate
    Word and then not print the attachment (acts like it cannot find the
    document). If we double-click the attachment, it brings up Word and
    the document and we can print it using the Print options within Word.

    We have not been able to determine what is causing this behavior.
    Has anybody else experienced it?
