      Note 1413 has been discussing 'MagicMac' which allows 'cleanly
    written' Atari software to be run on the Mac platform, and is
    from the same authors as the 'Magic' multi-tasking operating
    system for the ST.
      In note 1413.9 reference was made to the existance of a demo
    version of MagicMac, and I thought it would perhaps be a good
    opportunity to start a new topic, with the specific title 'MagicMac'.
    
      There is a copy of a current 'MagicMac FAQ' in note 1413.6
    
    A demo of 'MagicMac' is available via. ftp from

    Some 'Gembench' figures (understood to have been obtained running
    the demo) with 'MagicMac' on a 68030 PowerBook, in comparison to
    an ST in hi-res, no blitter.

     I don't have a Mac and can't confirm or verify these figures, but

I am entering this note with version 27 of VTstar, which is the last Atari ST version, running using MacMagic on my PowerBook 145. I had to lower the baud rate to 2400 in order for the serial port to work. It expects a GERMAN kezboard, Y is Z, I can�t find anz of the special characters, like / on the 7 kez, and & on the 6 key. I'd saz this thing WORKS. I am impressed. Better quit before it logs me off!
