Can someone tell me if and where, I can purchase PURE C in the UK.
What you get and the cost would also be helpfull.

Norman,
I asked on 'CIX' and the general consensus of opinion seems to
be that PURE C is not available for purchase in the UK, but is
available in the States. Perhaps someone else can correct or confirm
this.

There will be a new Pure C version in the future. The old version 1.1
is being sold out, because Borland, who have rights on the compiler,
do not authorize further distribution. So you probably will have
difficulties buying Pure C anywhere at the moment.

OK, I have decide to brush the dust off of two 20 pound notes and buy
the PROSPERO C manuals. :-). It will give me a start. Otherwise I will
waste time looking for a second-hand package or spend 100-150 pounds on
something new.
