Hi, my dad blew up some resistors in his Atari 1040STF. I got some schematics, but not those of this revision: C070859-001, Rev.2.1. Maybe there is somebody out there who can help me with the values of the following resistors in the Video-Shifter area: R46, R47, R52, R53 (codes not longer readable ;-). They seem to be responsible for color video output, because red and blue are missing on the monitor. Btw, this is a PAL machine... Any help greatly appreciated, Bernd

1376.1 | Some resistor values. | IJSAPL::KDEVRIES | Kees de Vries | Fri Aug 13 1993 03:28 | 18 |
Bernd I have found some values for you R46 24K Ohm Green video R47 24K Ohm Blue Video Strange because you say Red and Blue are missing. R52 150 Ohm R53 3.6 K Ohm The last two resistors are in the 32 Mhz clockcircuit. Also strange as far as I can see , if these two are broken, your machine should completely dead, no clocksignals any more! My diagrams are for 1040 STFM C070522 REV a. 1376.2 | fixed! | UFHIS::BFALKENSTEIN | Mon Aug 30 1993 11:16 | 12 | |
Thanks a lot for your help, Kees. Seems that this is a very special revision my dad has to deal with. I phoned Atari Germany, and fortunately they were able to send me the right schematics (in fact they were very polite and helpful, looked like they were happy to help out the last interested ;-) Atari user in Germany). So the machine is fixed now (two diodes and transistors were dead also) and full color is available again. Bernd |
