1373.0. "looking for US keyboard / layout" by UNSINN::RUGGI::RUGGIERO (Markus from Switzerland) Mon Jul 12 1993 02:55
My Atari speeks US English but the keyboard on that MegaST has
a German layout. WHERE ARE ALL THOSE D*MN CHARACTERS? No problem,
I could find them all by trial and error and then put down some
notes for further reference. But then there are so many keys - and
so many combinations with shift/control/caps/alt...
So my question to the community:
Has anyone a complete layout of the US keyboard that you could
a) upload or b) fax to me (+41 1 801 32 22, att. Markus Ruggiero
x3404 2C14)?
Who has a MegaST US keyboard that nobody uses anymore and wants
to part with? (Btw I'm located in Switzerland,Europe).
Thanks for your help

(Yes, I know there is a way to remap the keys, but this only works
for the non-alt'ed ones, The key combinations with alt are
HARDCODED in the BIOS!!
And something corrupts my loaded key remap table. I use an SST030
upgrade with US ROMS and the AHDI harddisk driver 5.0. I install
the keytable from the AUTO folder after initializing the SST.
All is fine until I make my first file copy. After that the keytable
has gone. Seems that it gets overwritten by a copy buffer)
