Hello All,
I just got a good deal from DEC Germany Used Equipment sold me
a VXT1000 with a 18" Flatscreen (VRE01).
All what I know from my X-Terminal knowledge is that the VRE01 is a:
18" Plasma flatscreen
1024 x 768 pixel resolution
60Hz refresh rate
Now my question to all Workstation - and Terminal Specialists.
Is it possible to hook up the VRE01 to my ATARI ST ?
Is the monitor a multisync ?
Does someone has the technical specs from the VRE01 ?
Do I have to include a VGA bridge into my ST with a VGA
board to connect the monitor ?
Any other ideas what I could do with the monitor in combination
with my ST ? I'm far away to buy a FALCON.

I am not a terminal specialist, but looking at a STARS article
regarding a description of the VXT1000, indications are that the
VRE01 monitor has a 54KHz horizontal scan frequency.
I believe that Atari high resolution mode frequency is in the region
of 35KHz, so it may not be possible to "plug in and go" with this
configuration.
I am sorry I am not sure what adapters may be available, but would be
interested also to hear if this configuration could be made to work.
