Hello, I'm looking for a serious dealer in the UK area for a purchase of a MEGA/STE or a TT. I've read a lot of negative things about the shops/dealers on usenet, so my question is: which Dealer or shop is to recommend. I'm by mailorder so that's rather important? Jack

I've had a couple of dealings with LADBROKE COMPUTING and found them very efficient... mind you I've never bought anything that large by mail order from them. I bought a printer mail order from Silica and it arrived promptly with no hassles. The problem is, you only find out how good these places really are when something goes wrong. That's when their customer service /exceptions handling gets put to the test. My best faith would be in Ladbroke. Both these suppliers advertise regularly in ST FORMAT, ST USER and ST REVIEW. I bought my STe from Silica and when it went wrong (disk drive), they picked it up by courier from the office and had it back to me seven days later. Not bad. Rgds, Mike B. |
