Do any of you happen to have a dead floppy drive (single or double sided) laying around collecting dust? I need a part to fix one of my drives and thought if someone had a drive in there junk/parts drawer, I might be able to get the part (a small spring and clip which holds the write protect swich in place) for a small cost. I don't think it is anything I can get from Best etc.. Thanks, Ray

Ray, I have an original floppy that died on me last year. I can bring it in this week if you like and you can "rape" it for parts. Bob Adams | |||||

Hi, I also have an old 3.5" floppy mechanism, but I don't know how suitable it is because it was out of my old Amiga 500. If you are interested e-mail me since I don't read this conf much! I'm in Reading UK by the way... - JIM CAD* |
