| I think there's some comments about the Amiga version in the
EURO_FLYING conference, from not too long ago. (Sorry no exact details
but they were impressed with it.)

Likewise, there's a discussion in note 216.* of HYDRA::AMIGA_GAMES
(press KP7, and all that 8^).

1263.3 | Got it! | PETRUS::HINTERLECH | I like D-EFRV! | Thu Mar 12 1992 07:29 | 17 |
| I bought it 3 weeks ago and I run it on a 520+(1meg). Currently I am
Pilot with 20 hrs TT.
As I am a real pilot I would rate the sim 8/10. The point is that you
only can fully enjoy the sim if you have a certain amount of background-
knowledge of IFR-flying. It is only flying from A to B, so if you are
looking for an actiongame take Falcon etc.
The program covers central Europe with GB, France, Germany, Netherlands,
Austria, Swiss and Denmark. You have to file a flight-plan with departure
and landing aerodrome, fuelcalc. etc. Orininal enroute- and landingcharts
are enclosed for "flying" as real as possible.
After a certain amount of flying-hours you can improve your rank and you
have to demonstrate your fitness with less autopilotfunktions.
I really enjoy it although landing without autopilot is very hard, crashed
6 times already ($$$$$$$$).
Graphics is similar to Flight Sim. II but without mountains.

1263.4 | YES BUT BO HO | BRUMMY::LUMMIS | OOPPSS the fans stopped ! | Fri Mar 20 1992 10:14 | 11 |
| I bought a copy and it only had the simulator disk.
Books looked good and I tryed to run it on my 520stm.
I got the sound track and loading screen but when the program asked me
what I wanted to do the screen just rolled.
My STM is one of the original ST's no internal disk and the first
version of TOS. So when it says ST/STE I think its fibbing.
Can I get the new roms to go in mine ? will this solve the problem ?
Help chaps.....

1263.5 | It might be hardware, not software | PRNSYS::LOMICKAJ | Jeffrey A. Lomicka | Fri Mar 20 1992 10:57 | 4 |
| Howeabout carefully adjusting the vertical hold on your monitor to
capture at 60hz (or 50hz if you are naturally 60Hz.). I've seen many
programs that assume the frame rate of your monitor. Is that what you
mean by roll?

1263.6 | Thanks but..... | BRUMMY::LUMMIS | OOPPSS the fans stopped ! | Mon Mar 23 1992 04:09 | 11 |
| Good Idea but I actualy get one of the loading screens on my colour tv
fine when the music is playing,
all the other screens I can see but apear to be rolling ,
in thirds sort of , I think it might me something to do with my roms
or lack of blitter etc......
As I said I only had the simulation disk , does the pilot log disk have
some set-up stuff on it ?
