Hello out there.
I am a new ATARI user. currently I have a 520STe with 512KB and a Mono
Monitor (SM124).
A couple of months back I got hold of STWriter Elite V3.6. I had a play
with it and noticed that the line counter (displayed at the bottom of
the screen), will count up to 21 as you scroll through a text file,
after that the count stays at 21. When scrolling back through the text
file the line count will decrement from 21 until it gets to 2; it then
stays on 2 until you get to the very first line when the line count
goes back to 1.
I thought that this must be a BUG or an incompatable version. I
recently obtained STWriter Elite V4.2 (the latest), and to my dismay I
still have the same problem.
Can someone comment on this.
Thanks Norman

Norman,
are you sure the counter is not showing you what line of the screen the
cursor is at, rather than the line of the file??

re .1
This has been suggested to me outside of this conference. I guess that
is the answer and it was not designed to do what I was expecting. Oh
well, such is life.
BTW, I occasionally see it jump to 22 and very quickly go back to 21.
Do we have 21 or 22 lines on the screen with STWriter Elite? I will
count them tonight.
Thanks, Norman
