1196.1 | LN06 is PostScript? | PRNSYS::LOMICKAJ | Jeffrey A. Lomicka | Sat Oct 19 1991 22:56 | 14 |
| I thought LN06 was a PostScript printer?
Try printing the following, and preceed it with a Control-D. If you
get a page that says "Hello World", you have a PostScript printer. I
have a pretty good tool for printing text files on it. Let me know and
I'll upload it. I don't have a PostScript print-screen, as I do my
print-screens with my LaserJET IIP in HP mode. PostScript printers
work *great* with PageStream!

1196.2 | LN06 is not Post-script by default | DECAUX::GRISU1::EGERT | Etsch_on_his_GPX | Sun Oct 20 1991 12:09 | 22 |
| Hi Jeff,
Thanx for the prompt reply,
but my LN06 do not have the PS-Cartridge witch
makes them to a PS-Printer, it's only a normal
Laser-printer with Duplex (both sides of paper).
I had recently some success with an "IBM PC Graphics
Printer" Driver so i was able to print simple Text without
Attributes like Bold etc.(from within 1.Word Plus)
If i include .IMG Pictures to the 1.Word-Document the
output is groumble.
So one Solution could be to have an Acc to screen-dump
Graphics (if i have the Desktop-Menubar) or a Driver that
could be used with the LN06 (DEClaser 2200).
Btw the User-Guide of the Printer doesnot say anything
about the Type of Emulation like HP Laserjet or something
equal.
mfg Chris ( hope someone can help)

I would guess it is like the LN03, so it should do sixel.
If it turns out to be sixel, it shouldn't be all that hard to\
write a sixel screen dump routine.

1196.5 | Does it work with GEMINI V1.2 | DECAUX::GRISU1::EGERT | Etsch_on_his_GPX | Thu Nov 14 1991 06:45 | 14 |
| Hi Jeff,
Thanx for your Reply - I've tried your ACC but i use GEMINI
as my Desktop Application and it seem to operate not corectly
with the GEMDOS supplied with Gemini.
When i install the ACC it appears in the Menu-bar as it should.
Then i pull-down the Entry and got a Cross - to select the Area
witch should be converted and if i release the Mouse-button
nothing happens.
So what do this tool normaly produce at this point -
a file or a printout at the parallel-port ???
greetings Chris .

| I think it produces print-out on the SERIAL port. I haven't used it in
years. Also, ALT-HELP should do a PRINT-SCREEN. I will double chek the
configuratio and upload something for which I KNOW what it does.
