| Hi,
"Putting it on the net" is a term used to describe placing it
on a system which is connected to DIGITAL's (in this case)
network. This allows anyone connected to the network to copy
the file to his/her system, and then download it (via a
modem) to their computer.
This would entail "uploading" the file to your system at work.
This can be done with a telecommunications program (I use
UNITERM) which sypports file transfer.
This is the easiest way to transport files, as it involves no
external media of any sort...

What he tried to say was that you should transfer it from your Atari to a VAX
and make a copy of the program accessible for us to copy to our location. Then
we can copy it to our Atari's.
It is easier for you and others also.
Filetransfer is described elsewhere in this conference.

1151.6 | Dont have a modem | BAHTAT::FRANZ | CAUSE OF DEATH: Nibbled | Fri Jul 05 1991 09:48 | 7 |
| I think its easier if I give a copy to someone on disk who could then
distribute it on the network as I don't have the necessary hardware to
do this .
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

| Well, what continent are you on? If you are in North America, you can
send to to me and I'll keep it on PRNSYS. If you are on Europe, I'd
suggest you find somebody local.
