1103.0. "Hacman II Problem" by DECWET::HASLOCK (Opinions - Worth what you pay) Wed Apr 03 1991 19:41

I copied over hacman2.arc, unwound it, created the necessary (for me) 2 floppies
and tried to run it.

I get two successive title screens, a 'Loading' message that almost instantly
disappears into a blank screen that sits there for 15 seconds or so. I then
get my desktop back.

The program runs briefly so I assume that the arc file was intact and
uncorrupt. The self extracting archive ran which tends to confirm that theory.
Does it simply not work from single sided floppies, despite the instructions?

Am I doing something subtly wrong? I tried starting it from both low and
medium res with identical results so its not that.

Help, please.

I had a simular problem, and after working with the author, we
found that the automatic un-lzh programs don't react very well
when they run out of space. They didn't tell me anything, but
yet did not extract the files.

I tried a second time when I had cleared enough space and found
	it worked fine.

Make sure you have all the file listed in the documentation and
that they aren't zero block files.

If you still need help, send me mail and I will send you disks
with a copy that I know works.

I send David mail and he tracked down the problem.

Disk 1 contains a file \disk1\pics\disk2
The file should be named \disk1\pics\promptd2

Single Sided hasn't worked for a while because of this.
