I'm definitely interested in a better (and detached) keyboard for my ST.

| 999.1 | LK201 converter exists | VISUAL::WEAVER | Dave, Image Systems Group | Wed Nov 14 1990 22:03 | 19 |
I have an LK201 converter interface that I have never used due to the
Mega ST's keyboard connection not providing the correct voltage for
the converter to work. Reinhold Gunther in Germany built the board,
and it has directions on how to hook it up. I will sell it for what
I paid, $80 US. I never attempted to connect it to my machine. You
can see it before buying, if you arrange to meet me in Merrimack, NH.
The board was built to plug into the 520 or 1040 ST's keyboard
connector and completely replaces the 6301 microprocessor that
the keyboard uses. It looks simple to install in the 520 or 1040ST.
He also has an EPROM onboard rather than a fixed ROM 6301, so it
should be possible to update the firmware. If you can get in touch
with him he can probably provide more details. I will give Bill
Nottingham first dibs as his note prompted me to enter this one,
If he doesn't want it I will proceed to the first reply to this
reply.
