968.0. "Sound Tracker 4 The ST" by CHEFS::SYMONDSK () Thu Sep 20 1990 09:19
Sound Tracker For The Atari ST
-==============================-
Well its now here the 4 channel 20 sample music generator and
yes it is F.A.B.
I received a demo of the sound tracker, called the EQUINOX collection
which uses the sound tracker to its full and I would recommend that any
one wanting to make games with sampled sounds should buy this beauty.
In the magazine it sells for 50 and it includes an AMIGA bass facility
which when you convert form the AMIGA to the ST you loose bass on it
and the AMIGA bass option makes your sound more BEEFY.
I also received a Public Domain Disk which contained the CARE BEARS
sound tracker tool, and I found it so easy to use.
The idea being you build your song up into patterns and chain them
together.
The Sample rate is 10khz (8.5khz on the amiga so the CARE BEARS say)
so the quality is a little cleaner, but the AMIGA has a built in
filter.
