Hello, I'm very new in this area with my new ST1040. So ... If I copy a file with a text, which I developed with WORDPLUS V3.1 to a VAX, it's horrible and useless. Now my question is, whether it exists a converter with which I can make a normal textfile, without these bunch a control characters in, WORDPLUS uses ? Thanks in advance Martin

hi, The easiest thing to do, is to open your WPS doc in 1stword plus again, and click on the menu that says something like WP or ASCII. If you save in non word processor mode then you can manipulate the file in VMS as a plain text file, of course you loose all your nice format. A better way is to get the file 1stword2ps.arc from NOTSO::DUA0:[keane.st]. This arc contains a super utility to convert 1stwordplus files into postscript files, (including graphics). You can then upload the postscript and print them on an LN03R or a LPS printer. Cheers | |||||
