866.0. "K-SWITCH???" by UTROP1::VDBOS () Mon May 21 1990 06:38

    Hi,

    Can someone help for info about K-SWITCH??

    This program enables you to have 2 or more programs resident in
    memory and by switching you can fast startup these programs.

    Thanks for your Response!

    Bye,

    You can devide your memory in two or more 512k-sections depending
    on the memory you have. Each of the sections may be operated as
    a normal 520ST. That means you load e.g. Wordplus into section one
    and then switch to section 2 with a function-key and load e.g.
    Degas in. So you are able to work with both programs by pressing
    the dedicated function-key without exiting one of the programs
    and load the other one again.

    K-Switch also allows you to install a special RAM disk (comes with
    the package), which is shared between the two sections. Normal RAM
    disks would be particualar to one section only.

    K-Switch is good if you intend to use it for well-behaved applications,
    forget it if you want to load any games though! It allows a mixture
    of resolutions in each section, which is also useful. I have the
    instructions somewhere - I will see if I can dig them out.

866.3Does it have a key?UTROP1::VDBOSTue May 22 1990 04:2210
    Hi,

    Thanks for your responses so far.....

    Does the package come with a key????????? Because I already have
    a program which uses a key and I don't want to invest in an expander

    If you mean a dongle (cartridge), then the answer is no. Well, the
    version I've got is just a bootable diskette, I don't know if they
    have changed it.....
