What do you think of the "game" Space Ace? The magazines have stated that apart from the stunning graphics and excellent sound track it has appalling gameplay involving 2 or 3 joystick movements per level. The game apparently plays like watching a cartoon and you decide when to move and if you don't do the right thing the hero dies. Priced at 44.95 it is also very pricey for a potential flop due to the high price. What are your views great game or overpriced demo? Rob.

854.1 | ST Format agrees | COMICS::DSMMGR | Tue May 01 1990 06:35 | 10
I saw this in a shop window, and for a display of the graphics capability of the ST it is BRILLIANT. Howerver, ST Format did a review which came to very much the same conclusion as that expressed in the base note. To paraphrase their conclusion, If you got loadsa dosh and want to impress your friends with some stunning animation, then go out and buy it... the gamesplay sucks.. Jonathan
854.2 | Overall - Dont bother | COMICS::BISHOPR | Thu May 03 1990 05:32 | 10
Hi, A friend of mine has this game, graphics are great, but all you actually have to do is press the mouse button once and the next screen loads, its easy to get all the way through this game without loosing after a days play. Though if its a good demo you want, then get it, but from what I remember it costs 45 quid ---- far too much. Rich. |
