    I'm not very good at these things !!!!
    
    I bought Infestation over the weekend and can't get anywhere. So, a
    little help would be appreciated.
    
    1) When on the surface, I can find the data terminal. When I press F2
    it gives me the logon screen and asks
    
     Identify for security Access
    
    What do you put in ? I have tried everything I can think of but get
    absolutely no response... Its like typing on a terminal in local mode !
    
    Also how do I get into the underground complex ??

    I have not got the game but I have heard that it is very good !
    
    Have you tried to by-pass the security system like they do on the
    films ?
    
    Or how about, forgetting about the terminal altogether and see if
    there is other ways of escape.
    
    I have one last idea......
    
    (And I bet they are just as useless as the first two!!)
    
    Have you tried not pressing f2, try a different key, keep trying
    all the keys on the keypad until the internal disk drive blows!!!

    By logging on to the terminal you have turned on the transporter.
    Entering the transporter will get you into the base. 
    
    The planet's surface, although a semi-radioactive vacuum, is
    nonetheless a fit environment for giant ants. The surface is definitely
    a vacuum, because when I took off my space helmet to get a breath of
    fresh air, my head exploded. The ants only explode when you shoot them.

    The base is treacherous in a variety of other ways. I've only looked in
    about 10 rooms so far of level 1. Great graphics, very sinister
    atmosphere.
    
    Also an impressive opening screen.

    PS: Am now using the modem without any difficulty - thanks for the
    help. You were right on the difficulties of XMODEM, but Kermit works.

I bought this game a while back, and managed to get to the first underground
level. I explored this exhaustively - I couldn't see ANY way of getting any
further! If anyone has any hints / tips / spoilers I would be very grateful -
as things stand, I have wasted both my money and my time on this one.

    I have this game, but haven't played it for ages (also not very
    extensively) but... On reaching level one you should enter the tunnel
    system (this is where you have to bend down in order to enter).
    Somewhere in there is an elevator key... a square thingie with a
    diamond on it (I think)... Once you have this the elevators (Doors with
    a similar logo on them) will operate and take you down to new levels.
