I ' m going to buy an ATARI 1040 ST
and I would want to know if someone could help me.
I would want to have the soft KERMIT for the atari 1040ST to do
files transfert
and a soft to emulate a VT100 or VT200 or VT300 ???
(I think I will be able to copy this second software if I got the KERMIT
software).

Read PRNSYS::DUA1:[LOMICKAJ.HOBBY.ST]XFERINTRO.TXT for information on transferring files between VMS and the Atari ST, and read topic 3 for information on "Whack", my multi-window, multi-session VT300 series terminal emulator, which will give you up to 7 windows into up to 10 VT220 compatible sessions. It also does sixels, and supports the same mouse escape sequences as VWS and DECwindows. For communication to non-DEC machines, (BBoard systems, Kermit, Xmodem) and when you need additional character attributes (Whack does only reverse video), most people prefer Uniterm, also free, PRNSYS::DUA2:[LOMICKAJ.HOBBY.ST]UNI*.*. | |||||

Some stores will put UNITERM (does kermit transfers and is a VT100/200 emulator) on a disk for you if you ask (and have/buy a blank disk of course :-). If you can not get UNITERM on a disk localy then I'll put UNITERM on a disk if you mail me one (send me mail for more info). Once you get UNITERM and a modem then your ready to download lots of great PD programs. Ray | |||||
