769.0. "LA50 Printer driver for DEGAS?" by SHAPES::HAYESI (Ian Hayes @UCG, DTN 781 4327) Mon Feb 12 1990 09:13

    Does anyone know of a printer driver that would allow me to print out
    DEGAS pictures on an LA50 (or any other sixel device for that matter).

    I have spent a while searching this conference but have so far drawn a
    blank.

    Cheers
    Ian.

If monochrome, go with PRNSYS::DUA1:[LOMICKAJ.HOBBY.ST]PSLA50.ACC.

I recall that somebody did a color version, but can't remember who, and
it may have been color for the Toshiba P321. My memory is not clear.

See note 221.1. Note that the files referenced there
are now located in ROYALT""::ENG$2:[ENGBERG.ATARI].

For that, read PRNSYS::DUA2:[LOMICKAJ.HOBBY.ST]XFERINTRO.TXT. It covers
what's what in the file transfer areana. (This pre-dates the use of the
VS3100 floppy drive as an alternative).

    Hi, Jeff

   A few month ago I transfered psla50.acc but i had no chance to run
   it on  my Atari.
   Are there any special procedures to transfere or run it?

    Regards
               Armin

You boot the system with this file on your boot disk. It's a variable
length 510-byte record file, which means transfer should be done with
Whack/Stransf or with Kermit in "SET FILE TYPE BIN" mode. Read
XFERINTRO.TXT for mode details on transfers. Perhaps you should try
ARCing it on VMS and deARCing it on the ST, to be sure it survives the
transfer.
