Hi, After running Dungeon master or Chaos on my MegaST2 for about an hour the program locks up in as much that you can move around but doors won't open and when you throw something it just hangs in the air in front of you . After a minute or so the system locks up with SYSTEM ERROR 60 displayed at the top of the screen. Has anyone else seen this or is it just my machine? Roger

I may be mistaken, but I think this is part of there copy protection. I tried two different copy programs and after running for about one hour I got the same symtoms you discribe. I've run my origials for two or three hours with no problem. Tom

The problem I get with my backup (ahem!) is that after a while the game freezes ("Game frozen" message). I have to click to restart. After this has happened about three times my characters all die without warning. I have found that I can avoid this sudden death by saving and restarting after the first freeze. Does anybody have a trouble-free backup copy? Adam.

I had the same problems running on a backup of dungeon master, but have used the original to get as far as level 12 without any problems. On level 12 my save game disk got corrupted,so I started again but this time using a Blitz copy.I have completed the game without any problems. (I used Blitz for backup only, the people who wrote Dungeon Master deserve the financial reward, and incentive for the best program on the ST) Chaos strikes back,-the origional exibits these problems. I believe they have gone to far with the copy protection,so that even the original is hard to read unless your drive is perfectly alighned. |
