IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL REGISTERED U.S. ATARI DEVELOPERS:
IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED DEVELOPER AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FINAL
RAINBOW TOS RELEASE NOTES, CALL GAIL AT 408-745-2568.
There was a questionnaire sent out some months ago, and if you did not
send back that questionnaire, you are no longer listed as a registered
developer. That was supposed to be clear from the questionnaire.
Further, we are starting a re-registration program, which will be free
of charge to registered developers. Call Gail for more info.
The photocopied docs which came with the _developer release_ of Rainbow
TOS are NOT the final Rainbow TOS Release Notes. They were preliminary
and were marked as such. The final version comes in an Atari binder,
and was professionally produced by our technical documentation
department. If you do not have the final version by now, assume that
you have been purged from the list of registered developers. Do not
send me Email, and do not post a followup to this message, because
those actions will not get you on the list. CALL GAIL.
Regarding how developer kits are being released, I haven't seen an
actual developer kit in quite a while (since I got mine, in fact, when
I came to work here at Atari). So without information to the contrary,
I'm assuming that they still come boxed and 3-hole-perforated for
inclusion in the binders of your choice (I've got 5 big binders holding
my kit). As far as the condition of the docs, they shouldn't be torn up
or hard to read - the originals from which the docs are printed these
days are in much better shape than years ago. If you got a bad set,
please contact Gail.
