658.0. "MEG-A-MINUTE ELITE, who has it?" by BERN01::RUGGIERO () Mon Nov 06 1989 07:53

    In the userguide for the Spectr128, Dave Small mentions a HD-backup
    program called 'Meg-a-Minute Elite' which he and Dan Moore wrote
    for the START magazine, fall 88. It seems to be the only backup
    program that works on the Spectre (Do you know any other?).

    Is some one out there in enet-world who has this prog? Can you provide
    me with it? Is it on the net? - Or at least can someone send me
    a copy of the article from the START mag?

    Please. please, please... I still have about 50 Megabytes of non
    backuped hard disk. Although the disk is VERY reliable... well,
    you know those stories, do you?

    thanks

658.1CompuServe has it!MDCRAB::MCLENDONFri Nov 10 1989 08:4612
    Markus,
       You're in luck! The ARC file is on CompuServe in the Utilities
    section of ATARIPRO (i.e., !GO ATARIPRO). It was uploaded 10-FEB-89
    (since you can search by date) by 76703,1052 (??). It is MegaMax C
    source and his Twister format code in assembler. Except for the
    resource construction set .RSD (?) file and the actual .RSC file,
    everything else, including the MAKEFILE are all ASCII. The size of the
    ARC file is about 46k. Send me email or a disk via intraDEC post, and
    I'll send you the files de-ARC'd. The code is fully commented!

658.2need help in building the PRGBERN01::RUGGIEROTue Nov 28 1989 03:3514
    Well, I finally got the source for Mega_minute (thanks Bruce!) but
    I was not able to build the program. I do not have the Megamax C
    and besides that I don't have any experience in C-programming.

    Who is able and willing to put the pieces together for me? I can
    either send you a disk with the source our upload them in arc-ed
    format.

    Contact me here, via mail (BERN01::RUGGIERO, Markus Ruggiero @ZUO)
    or DTN 760-3404

    Thank you very much
