I had been thinking about getting Easydraw (also known as EZDraw) for
some now, but had been told that a new version with lots of new features
was coming out soon. This presumably was version 3, which just started
arriving a week or two ago. I just finished speaking with Migraph about
it, and it appears I've been under the wrong impression.
Version 3.0 is an UPDATE only, and not really a new version. Its chief
feature is the addition of splines. You aren't really expected to go out
and buy 3.0. If you want it, you have to buy the latest version, 2.35,
and then buy the 3.0 upgrade ($49.95) directly from Migraph. They really
aren't pushing 3.0 for users other than those who already have version 2.
The reason for all this is that they are coming out with a rewrite of
Easydraw in the first quarter of 1990. It will have a new interface (I
think he said it will be similar to Touchup, another one of their
products).
So if you don't have a pressing need for Easydraw, you may want to wait
a few months for the new version.
